1.Description of the service

Jaber Aldarb operates a technology platform that connects customers seeking transportation between fixed points in Madinah with independent captains who provide that transportation, either as a shared ride (splitting a vehicle with other passengers heading the same way) or a private ride (booking the whole vehicle). Jaber Aldarb is not a transportation carrier — captains are independent individuals, not our employees, and are responsible for the actual driving and safe operation of their vehicles. Jaber Aldarb operates under the licensing framework of the Saudi Transport General Authority (TGA).

2.Eligibility

To use Jaber Aldarb, you must:

3.Accounts and registration

You're responsible for keeping your account password confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. We may refuse to register, or may suspend, any account that provides false information.

4.Booking and trips

When you book a trip, you'll be shown the fare before confirming. For shared trips, your vehicle departs once full or once assigned as a partial car by a captain willing to accept fewer passengers; for private trips, you book the whole vehicle for your exclusive use. You must provide an accurate pickup location and be present at that location when your captain arrives. Estimated arrival and travel times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

5.Fares and payment

Fares are calculated based on the route, vehicle type, and (for shared trips) number of seats booked, and are shown to you before you confirm a booking. You may pay in cash directly to your captain, or from your Jaber Aldarb wallet balance. [Once available, you may also pay by card through our payment processor, Tap Payments, subject to Tap's own terms.] Fares are set by Jaber Aldarb and may change from time to time; the fare shown at the time of booking is the fare that applies to that trip.

6.Cancellations

You may cancel a booking before your captain arrives. See our Cancellation & Refund Policy for the full details of how cancellations and refunds are handled.

7.Captain requirements and conduct

Captains must hold a valid driving license and submit vehicle registration, insurance, and inspection documents for each vehicle they intend to drive, along with a photo for identification purposes. These documents are reviewed and must be approved by a Jaber Aldarb supervisor before a captain may accept trips on that vehicle. Captains agree to:

8.Customer conduct

You agree to:

9.Wallet terms

The in-app wallet lets you pre-fund a balance to pay for trips without handling cash. Wallet balances are not interest-bearing and have no cash value outside the platform except as described in our Cancellation & Refund Policy. We may adjust a wallet balance to correct a genuine error, and will notify you if we do.

10.Prohibited activities

You agree not to:

11.Limitation of liability

Jaber Aldarb provides a platform connecting customers and independent captains; we do not own or operate the vehicles used to provide rides. To the fullest extent permitted by Saudi law, Jaber Aldarb is not liable for the acts or omissions of captains or customers, including but not limited to accidents, injury, loss, or damage arising during a trip.

12.Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Jaber Aldarb harmless from any claim, loss, or damage arising from your violation of these Terms, your use of the Service, or your interactions with other users, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

13.Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, provide false information, or engage in conduct that endangers other users or the integrity of the Service. Captains may have a specific vehicle's approval suspended or revoked for documentation, safety, or conduct issues. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time by contacting us.

14.Dispute resolution

If a dispute arises, we ask that it be handled in the following order:

  1. Direct negotiation: an attempt to resolve the issue directly between the parties, without external involvement.
  2. Mediation: engaging a neutral third party to help bring viewpoints closer together and reach a resolution.
  3. Arbitration: referring the matter to a qualified arbitrator or arbitration body to issue a binding decision.
  4. Judiciary: resorting to the competent official courts, as a last resort.

15.Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

16.Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and where changes are material, we'll take reasonable steps to notify you through the app before they take effect.
